Well the plan was to walk Bakestall and Great Calva today. Lyn dropped me off at Peters House Farm at 9.15 am. It was a great morning,lots of sunshine but forecast was weather would deteriorate from 3pm. I arranged Lyn to pick me up at 3pm at the same place. Made good time and was on the Bakestall summit by 10.50am However, problems from my back had been bothering me and as I looked out at Great Calva I doubted I would make it back for 3pm. Also wondered if I would enjoy it the way I was feeling. So contacted Lyn while I had a signal and arranged to meet back at the Sun Inn at Bassenthwaite Village between 1 - 1.30pm. Someone could have told me they don't open until 4pm midweek !
