I was feeling tired today after yesterdays walk but once up close to the North End on Melbreak I was ready to go. What a route this is but care was required with icy paths. Once on top I was hit with a cold wind needing my coat to be added and a wool dut instead of my cap. From the summit of Melbreak I turned my attention to Hen Combe and dreaded the long descent just to climb the long way back up again. Yet, that was what I had to do and via a direct route.
