Kirk Fell and High Level Traverse to Robinson's...
The plan was to take the direct route up the front of Kirk Fell then onto Pillar via the High Level Route and then Red Pike and Yewbarrow via Stirrup Crag. However, we were turned back at Robinson's Cairn due to Strong gusts of wind and rain and that our relative novice walker (12 AW summits )who had done very well until this point , stated his legs were feeling like jelly ! Not sure if that was due to the Kirk Fell ascent or on seeing the Shamrock Terrace Route !
