Parked up by the layby at Yew Tree Tarn. Took the path north of the Tarn to Holme Fell. Misty but when I hit the summit the heavens opened. became a bit disorientated on leaving the summit so returned to get my bearings and had views for first time. Returned via Yew Farm path and headed up to Tarn Hows via Tom Gill waterfall and headed for Black Crag. The heavens opened again and never stopped after that. Returned to the car via what was probably a trespass through a farm but an honest mistake given the conditions !
